About Intentional Living Counseling

Intentional Living Counseling is built on the belief that everyone deserves a compassionate, supportive space to heal and grow. Our therapists combine years of clinical experience with a trauma-informed, client-centered approach to help children, teens, adults, and families navigate life’s challenges with confidence and clarity. We focus on connection, evidence-based care, and empowering each person to create meaningful, lasting change.

Our Mission and Approach

Our mission is to improve the lives of our clients by providing compassionate care, imparting hope for a healthier, happier life, and empowering individuals to create positive change.

We believe counseling works best in a safe, supportive environment where people feel understood and respected. Our approach is trauma-informed and individualized, recognizing that life experiences shape how people navigate challenges, relationships, and emotions.

Through evidence-based care—including Accelerated Resolution Therapy® (ART), offered by many of our therapists—we focus on helping clients gain insight, build resilience, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Meet Our Therapists

Our therapists bring a wide range of clinical backgrounds, specialties, and perspectives to support children, teens, adults, and families. Each clinician is fully licensed and trained in evidence-based approaches, allowing us to thoughtfully match clients with a therapist who aligns with their needs, goals, and preferences.

Many of our therapists are trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy® (ART), along with other modalities such as EMDR and trauma-informed care. While each therapist has their own style, all share a commitment to creating a respectful, collaborative therapeutic relationship.

Below, you can learn more about each therapist’s experience, areas of focus, and availability to help determine the best fit for you or your family.

Kristy McNamee, LMHC

I have over 20 years of experience providing counseling for children, teens, adults, and families, supporting clients through challenges such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and trauma. One of my greatest passions is helping people navigate the grieving process with compassion and clarity.

I am EMDR trained and a Master ART® Certified therapist, and I’ve found these approaches to be highly effective in addressing trauma, loss, phobias, depression, and anxiety. As a wife, mother, and counselor, I understand how overwhelming life can feel, and I work to help clients create greater balance, health, and happiness in their daily lives.

Creating a warm, welcoming, and safe environment is extremely important to me. I know starting therapy can feel intimidating, which is why I focus on providing a non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and experiences. My goal is to meet people where they are and support them as they work toward the goals they set for themselves.

I believe the best therapy happens through collaboration—where every person feels seen, understood, and respected. It’s an honor to walk alongside clients as they build insight, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.

I’m an LCSW with over 10 years of experience in social work, specializing in trauma-informed therapy, PTSD, EMDR, ART®, DBT, CBT, and mindfulness-based approaches. I’ve worked with diverse populations facing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and complex trauma. I also have a strong focus on supporting the Veteran community, as I’m a military spouse of a combat Veteran who served in the U.S. Marine Corps. In addition, I provide care for individuals navigating Borderline Personality Disorder.

I’m passionate about mental health awareness and take part in community outreach to help reduce stigma around asking for support. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, and being outdoors. I’m also pursuing my doctorate in social work.

My therapeutic style is collaborative and goal-oriented. I aim to get to the root of what’s causing distress while creating a compassionate, safe space for you to share openly. I know reaching out can feel overwhelming, and I’m honored to walk with you as you begin this journey toward healing and growth.
